With a focus on overcoming barriers, it integrates assistive technology and real-world experience, enabling participants to pursue long-term employment and success in various entertainment-related fields.
Program Details
The Entertainment Experience offers immersive, career-focused workshops for blind and low-vision individuals seeking a path in the entertainment industry. The program includes personalized mentorship, technology integration, and professional placements across various roles such as sound engineering, social media, and theatre production. With a three-camp structure, participants develop technical expertise, self-confidence, and career readiness. In collaboration with state agencies and Amerability’s industry network, participants will engage in real-world opportunities for growth, job placements, and work-integrated learning (WIL). The program is designed to break down industry barriers and ensure participants gain meaningful experience and long-term employment in entertainment.
