Amerability Active

My passion for sports and empowering individuals with disabilities has driven my journey. I’ve coached Australia’s Men’s and Youth Goalball teams and now work with the USA Women’s Paralympic Goalball program. As an international blind low vision tennis player, I sit on the board of the United States Blind Tennis Association, and I’ve also played blind cricket in Australia. Currently, I’m working with the International Blind Cricket Board to expand the sport in the U.S. Through Amerability, I’m committed to creating opportunities for growth, inclusion, and success.
The Amerability Active Program, aims to expand sports opportunities for students with blindness and low vision across the U.S. By partnering with schools for the blind, the program offers Goalball, Blind Low Vision Tennis, and Blind Cricket, sports in which Murray has extensive coaching and playing experience. Amerability collaborates with state agencies for the blind to promote active participation in an inclusive, supportive environment where coaches understand adaptive needs. The program fosters physical fitness, teamwork, and confidence for blind and low-vision students, creating meaningful opportunities for growth through sports.
